Reminiscence is an extremely short read penned by Devika Das. It looks back on time and remembers the happy and sad memories. It comes across as an ode of sorts or it is perhaps a work from the past that the poetess chose to publish.

With a very lyrical, rhyming content it pleases the readers. There are some poems which are deep and profound. There are some poems that are playful and childlike. And some poems are excellence. The poestess doesn’t stick to good and bad but also makes a social commentary through a few poems.

The work is extremely lucid and you will fly through this book.

A 10 minutes read promises 10 beautiful minutes in the solace of lilt.

My favorites from the lot are

For Those At Kargil
Oh Brother!
Isn’t It True
Blind Window
Child Labour

It can be read over a small getaway or during readathons.

This is my third books in Mumbaibookstagram’s #MarchToApril18 #FOURBOOKS4DAYS readathon.
