I have been a creative person all my life. Writing has been my passion and a way of life. I always say this and it’s sort of my motto “I write to live and I live to write.” This speaks about my passion and my profession. But with such a profession comes the inevitable writer’s block and to get over it I struggle a lot. That’s why I began looking for creativity boosting foods.

Here are a few creativity boosting food that are easily available in the market.

1. Walnuts

Have you ever wondered about the shape of walnuts? They look like brain, don’t they? They are rich in omegas. The fatty acids present in the walnuts helps in brain functions, processing and understanding information which is important for creative thinking.

2. Water

I would drink gallons of water during studying because it helps keep us awake by keeping the oxygen levels up. Thus, helping in creative thinking.

3. Popcorn

Popcorn may look like an essential cinema food but it helps boost concentration. It regulates glucose flow and also boosts short term memory adding up to creative thinking.

4. Pumpkin seeds

These small seeds are high in zinc which essentially kills the creativity killing thoughts. I am sure you didn’t know that. In addition it enhances critical thinking, cognition and memory!

5. Green tea

Green tea benefits are many. And amongst others what it does to a creative person is, it kills the creativity killing thoughts much like pumpkin seeds. And the caffeine shot is all you need to keep you going.
