I haven’t updated a blog post about recipes in the longest time. The last update was perhaps in 2016. So I am gonna share the simplest diet food recipe that I am currently trying and loving it.
I use Quaker oats for this, you can use any other available in the market.
Half Onions chopped
Half tomatoe chopped
Half Green chillies chopped (less spicy)
Coriander as per your taste
Salt as per taste
Red chilli as per taste (or you can use chilli flakes)
Quarter Red bell pepper chopped
Quarter Yellow bell pepper chopped
In a bowl mix onions, red and yellow bell peppers, tomato, green chillies, finely chopped coriander and mix it well.
Now add oats to it and again mix it well.
Add salt, red chilli power, hing and jeera.
Add a little bit of water and for consistency you can add wheat flour to the mix.
Turn into paste with good consistency and also you will have to be very careful while turning it upside down.
Heat a pan/tawa, drizzle of olive oil or cooking oil, and once the oil is heated place the paste delicately over the pan and spread it evenly in a circle.
Now drizzle little bit of oil on the sides, a teeny drop would do. This is to make sure that our omelette doesn’t stick to the pan or tawa.
Lid it and wait till you get a sweet pizza like smell.
You may turn it upside down once the other side is crisp and brown.
Once you have turned the omelette there’s no need to lid it again.
Wait till it is crisp and brown.
Serves it with (fat free) mayonnaise or ketchup or curd or any chutney of your choice.
This recipe is quick and serves one person.
Try it and let me know your thoughts.
