I love romance and I absolutely adore rom-coms. Let me just begin by saying that A sweet deal is a rom-com I devoured in no time. The book is published by Fingerprint publishers and is over 200 pages long.
The book follows the story of Rumana and Daniyal. Both are chefs and next door neighbors. Rumana is stumped by the grandeur of Daniyal’s Patisserie and the clientele. Out of jealousy she vows to shut the place by harassing Daniyal and his team. But in process she loses her heart to the charming gentleman that Daniyal is. Daniyal, on the other hand, has lost his heart to Rumana the day she threw garbage on his car. Will the two come out of denial and confess their love for each other forms the rest of the story.
Enemies turned lovers trope is always my favorite trope. And to top it off, this was a rom-com and at that much needed amidst the work stress. This story is simplistically told and is written in present tense which easily gets the readers involved. There are elements of humour and romance peppered throughout the book which makes this a perfect leisure time read. I absolutely fell in love with the characters and Daniyal makes a wonderful book boyfriend. This one wasn’t a cliché romance and that’s what I loved the most. It has a recall value and it is surely going to be a reread for me because it gave me all the feels. Throughout the book, the author speaks of delectable deserts like tarts, pies and cakes which makes this book all the more yummilicious.
Overall, this book is a perfect beach read. It is breezy and light. It is unputdownable and adorable. It is an out-and-out mood changer.
