Some stories appease all age groups and one such story I came across is Forbidden Treasure by Apurva Bhuta

Coming from The patriot’s legacy series, this one is the first in the series. It follows the adventure of seven braveheart patriots who are on a quest to find out the forbidden treasure. Their ancestors have hidden a treasure in some part of the world and only these young patriots can retrieve it. This adventure begins when each of the kid receives a letter and big money from a particular Priscilla.

When it comes to writing, the book is well written. It is quite comprehensible and well paced. The adventure spans across many countries and reading about it all gives you major wanderlust goals. The whole story has a huge canvas and the narration is quite convincing. The treasure hunt is interesting and intelligent making sure the reader is glued to the book from the word go.

To me, the whole experience of reading this book was quite entertaining. It reminded me of Dan Brown’s the DaVinci Code and Ashwin Sanghi’s The Krishna Key. Also, this book is sequenced well and well researched, even. The face-offs with enemy do get a tad filmy and also the writing could have been a bit more mature, I feel.

However, this makes for an amazing adventure and can be a good travel companion.
