Ruskin Bond is an author who is loved by young and old alike. So when Dreamland Publications sent me Ruskin Bond’s The Little Princess, I knew that the kiddiewinks in my house are going to love it. With an eye-catching cover and vibrant illustrations this book became my nephew’s favourite in no time. The lucid language made sure that my 7-year-old nephew zaps through it without a hitch.

This is a story where Bond’s past mingles a bit with the characters; and there’s a haunting dreamy character to the plot. This is a tale of two children. There’s grief, loneliness lurking but that’s soon replaced by the jovial innocence of childhood.

The little Princess was a good way to introduce my kids to Bond’s writing. A sweet story that’s sure to remain with them for long.
