Book – Cosmic downpour by Peratzatha
Genre – Poetry

Peratzatha is a term which means the art of people watching. And Peratzatha’s work,  Cosmic downpour, lives upto the appellation.

The book is a very short read. It captures the moments often missed out in life, vistas that pass by, people, places and nature that touch our soul. You read a contemplative work of art. The imagination takes a flight and soars the cosmos in a way that leaves you stunned and with vivid imageries. The stillness of the night, brightness of the moon, the talisman of memories, creatures of the night, silence, chaos, unspoken words are voiced deftly through this anthology of poems.

I zapped through this book in a blink. But it certainly left an imprint on my soul. You see such books are rare. It is deep and meaningful. It strikes a chord with the reader in no time.

“Resplendent” is a word that describes this book the best. And the charisma is carried in the mesmerizing and succulent words of Peratzatha.

“Outro-epiphany” was an outstanding work where the poet compared themselves with the phases of the moon, and it’s a solid stunner.

“Shining through the night
with all my scars
beautiful and bright.”

Alongside, “Home is in you, and around you” felt so positive and affirmative.

“Within you is a star that burns bright
I can see it even when the world blows out
it’s candles and there’s no light.”

“Summer dreams” felt like a poem I could easily dedicate to the guy with a sexy voice.

“A whisper, a sigh; I hear you call out my name in the dark.”

And then there was “My heart” and “Animus” that equally won me over.

All-in-all, Cosmic downpour by Peratzatha is definitely a delectable treat for the poetry connoisseurs.
