A short read that will suck you into Rahul and Malvika’s world in no time.

Malvika is a young girl embarking on a new journey to pursue her MA in English Literature from Mumbai’s Wilson college. A shy, demure girl she is battling her past and fighting anxiety every step of the way she takes into this new life. Rahul, on the other hand, is that cool extrovert who falls hook, line and sinker for Malvika the minute he sets his eyes on her. It takes him a lot of attempts before he befriends a headstrong Malvika. And soon both find themselves falling for each other exchanging promises of forever. But is this forever for real? Destiny has something else in store for both of them.

From start to finish this book felt like an out-and-out college romance. The twists came and went but the feeling of butterflies in your stomach remained. It was pretty straightforward storyline though it meandered in multiple directions, swaying our attention yet it remained true to it’s name. There were some parts where I felt the story could have been knit tighter yet looking at the overall feels that aspect can be overlooked.

What I realised in the process of reading this book is that despite the distance you can remain connected to each other if you are meant to be together. As also, Arushi Vats’ writing style appeased me much. She has a flair for romance genre and I would love to read more of her works.

To sum up, My better half forever is a cozy romance. Romance genre lovers will definitely like it. And if you are looking for a good refreshing read you can pick it up.

Last word – I might read multiple other books after this but this story is like stardust scattered all around and I am sure it will stay with me for long, even if in parts.
