Stories of us by Bobby Sachdeva is a canvas of 41 intriguing stories.
The writing us lucid and the storytelling is simple. The stories are comprehensible. The chapters are short and that makes this book a quick read. There is connectivity in this book because it speaks of real life scenarios. Every chapter asks certain questions relevant to the story. The only glitch I felt is that this book just shows but doesn’t deepen the descriptions so that you can “feel” the situations.
And despite that, I did enjoy some stories from this book, which have a recall value.
1. The third gender
2. The bright old scooter
4. Vaastu shastra
5. When God spoke
6. The small man
7. Dinner date
These stories that I loved have a wonderful aftertaste to it. Some are bitter, some bittersweet and some amusing.
Overall, it was a good read.
